2. Panicum Research
Some photos of Panicum cultivar research.

Trial on evaluating cultivars grown in Thailand, Mombasa and Tanzania, against cultivars grown in Brazil, Aruana, Massi and Zuri and a new one being grown here at our University, Ubon Ratchatani, called Mun River Guinea. This trial will be completed in 2019.

3. Photos of applying fertilizer to Mombasa seed trial. This trial commenced in 2011 and will be completed at the end of 2016.

4. Photos of Mun River guinea seed crop six weeks after planting. Seed from this crop will go into village seed production next year, 2017. Depending on the results from the first trial above, seed may be available for sale in 2018.

5. Brachiaria Research

The trials are evaluating six hybrid brachiarias against older established brachiaria species.

Hybrids are:

• Cobra
• BRO4/3025
• BRO4/3207
• BRO4/2515

Established species are:

• Toledo
• Humidicola
• Marandu
• Piata
• Paiaguas
• Ruzi

The trial commenced in 2015 and will be completed in late 2018 or 2019
